The following article appears in the latest copy of the VFW Magazine:
TWO ADDITIONAL DISEASES LINKED TO AGENT ORANGE
A medical committee announced in July that two illnesses could be traced to exposure to the defoliant Agent Orange used in the Vietnam War. The 14-member panel convened by the Institute of Medicine found "limited or suggestive evidence" that linked the herbicide to Parkinson's disease and ischemic heart disease.
Based on the previous actions by VA, the committee's decision could be sufficient to add the two diseases to the list of conditions presumed to have been caused by service in Vietnam and, therefore, eligible to VA compensation and service-connected health care.
Since 1994, the Institute of Medicine has determined that 17 conditions are associated with Agent Orange exposure. VA currently pays disability compensation for 13 conditions or diseases presumed to have been caused by exposure.
For more information about VA benefits for Agent Orange-exposed veterans, access

Hope the above info is of some help.
